Make it a day trip - Area Guide

The Treinen Farm is not as far as you may think.  Only 20 miles north of Madison, the beautiful Lake Wisconsin area is a great place to explore.

Make a day (or a weekend) of your farm adventure!  The Treinen Farm activities can keep you entertained for 2 - 4 + hours.  You may want to spend the rest of day in the area. Here are links to other attractions that you may want to visit.

Wollersheim Winery  A historic Wisconsin landmark, Wollersheim is about 6 miles from the Treinen Farm and offers tours, tastings, and a unique gift shop.

Lake Wisconsin (Merrimac) Ferry:  The historic ferry is about 15 minutes away.  Take a ride, have  ice cream cone, and enjoy the fall colors reflected in the lake.

Devil's Lake State Park:  A short 25 minutes away, you must see the incredible landscape of Devil's Lake.  Created by the glaciers of the last Ice Age, there's nothing like it in the Midwest.  Hike the steep Bluff trails or relax by the lake.

Lodi:  Home of Susie the Duck, Lodi has a collection of interesting shops and restaurants.  Feed the ducks in Spring Creek, check out Main Street, enjoy the  Fall Festival.

Gibraltar Rock:  Hike up to Gibraltar Rock for a breath-taking view of the fall colors and scenic valley.  These stunning rock formations are a well-kept secret in the Lodi area.

Ski-Hi Apple Orchard:  Any apple variety you are likely to need, nestled in the Baraboo Bluffs.

Attractions and events in the Sauk City and Prairie du Sac area (six miles west of the Treinen Farm.)

Fish Tales:  The area's best seafood, located on beautiful Lake Wisconsin, just 15 minutes from the Treinen Farm.

The Blue Spoon: Unique eatery in Prairie du Sac, with outdoor seating and a European flair.
